Weekly Contract Roundup: India Records Over ₹10,300 Crore in Major Project Awards

India’s industrial and infrastructure contracting market remained active during 31 August–7 September 2026, with disclosed fixed-value contracts and project awards in our weekly tracker totalling approximately ₹10,368 crore. Power transmission, renewable energy, railways, electrical equipment and mining accounted for much of the activity.

The largest transaction tracked during the period was Ceigall India’s approximately ₹5,300 crore transmission project, followed by RVNL’s ₹903 crore award from SJVN Thermal for rail infrastructure associated with the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project.

Renewable energy also generated significant contracting activity. Inox Wind secured an approximately ₹755 crore turnkey wind project from IndianOil, while GREW Solar received a ₹430 crore solar-module order. Suyog Urja secured an approximately ₹190 crore EPC package from Tata Power Renewable Energy for a 180 MW wind project at Parli, Maharashtra.

Electrical and transmission-equipment orders were another highlight. Indo Tech Transformers received ₹165.55 crore of transformer orders from APTRANSCO, while Diamond Power Infrastructure secured a ₹76.06 crore EHV cable order. Marine Electricals also received approximately ₹229.73 crore of power-distribution-system orders for data-centre infrastructure.

Elsewhere, Sical Logistics won a ₹534.73 crore Central Coalfields contract, Ashoka Buildcon secured a ₹602 crore RVNL rail E&M package, Texmaco Rail received wagon orders worth ₹131.36 crore, and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders secured a ₹117.99 crore MSETCL order.

The week also produced a substantial forward opportunity pipeline, with several major projects reaching L1, tender or procurement-approval stages. These have been kept separate from confirmed contract-award values.

Overall, the week underscored sustained procurement momentum across power T&D, renewables, cables, transformers, railways, mining, heavy engineering and industrial infrastructure, providing a healthy order pipeline for Indian EPC contractors and equipment manufacturers.
