PMGSY Projects to Be Completed by March.

The district administration has put rural road projects, pending over the years, on fast-track.

The volatile situation in the district notwithstanding, some of the rural road and other infrastructure projects connecting the town to interior and far flung areas of the district have been completed during the last two years. Of the total 276 sanctioned PMGSY projects, work of 104 roads has already been completed and 155 roads are nearing completion.

Collector D Prashant Kumar Reddy said, almost all the PMGSY road works in the district, including Maoist-infested remote areas have been awarded to contractors in the last six months.

All the project works are likely to be completed by March next year.
