MSWC to set up sewerage system

Male: A contract agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Water (MEEW) and Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MSWC) to set up a sewerage system in Hdh. Kulhudhufushi. According to MWSC, the contract value is Rf. 96,188,492.84 and the as per the agreement, the project is required to be completed within 540 working days.

At the signing ceremony held at MEEW the agreement was signed on behalf of the ministry by Ahmed Saleem, the ministry’s Permanent Secretary. The agreement on behalf of MWSC was signed by the company’s Managing Director Mohamed Ahmed Didi.

Work scope of the project include establishing a sewerage system, laying of pipe lines to all hoses , offices and various other buildings and establish pump stations. According to MWSC on completion of the project the islanders of Kulhudhufushi will enjoy the benefits of a modern sewerage system.

According to MWSC the company in addition to establishing sewerage systems is also capable of involving itself in various aspects of engineering involved in such projects. MWSC revealed that Khulhudhufushi sewerage project is one of the many such undertakings of the company.
