ITC Plans to Double Manufacturing Capacity and Retail Presence of Luxury Chocolate Brand Fabelle.

ITC Plans to Double Manufacturing Capacity and Retail Presence of Luxury Chocolate Brand Fabelle.

ITC Ltd is planning a significant scale-up of its luxury chocolate brand Fabelle, aiming to double its manufacturing capacity over the next 15–18 months while also expanding its retail footprint. The move comes as the brand completes a decade in the market and as demand for premium chocolates continues to rise among Indian consumers.

The domestic chocolate market is currently valued at around ₹22,000 crore, with the luxury segment accounting for an estimated ₹1,000–1,200 crore. Despite its relatively smaller size, the premium category is witnessing rapid growth, outpacing the broader chocolate market.

Launched in 2016, Fabelle has carved a niche with its handcrafted offerings that emphasize storytelling and innovation. At present, production is anchored at ITC’s facilities in Haridwar and Bengaluru, with nearly 80 per cent of the portfolio created by master chocolatiers.

Subash Balar, Vice President and Business Head – Chocolates, Coffee and Confectionery & NCD, Foods Division at ITC Ltd, said the company sees strong headroom for growth in the premium segment. “Fabelle’s production is currently anchored across our two key facilities in Haridwar and Bengaluru. Nearly 80 per cent of the portfolio is handcrafted by our master chocolatiers. We aim to double the manufacturing capacity of the brand over the next 15–18 months. We see strong potential for the brand as the luxury chocolate
