Defence manufacturing push in Uttar Pradesh sees over ₹35,000 crore investments, says CM Yogi Adityanath.

Defence manufacturing push in Uttar Pradesh sees over ₹35,000 crore investments, says CM Yogi Adityanath.

Yogi Adityanath recently said investment proposals worth over ₹35,000 crore are being implemented on the ground across the six nodes of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, spread across Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Agra, Aligarh and Chitrakoot.

The Chief Minister made the remarks while addressing the closing ceremony of the three-day NorthTech Symposium held in Prayagraj. He said the ongoing investments add to ₹12,000 crore worth of projects already seeded by January this year in one of India’s two defence industrial corridors, the other being in Tamil Nadu.

Yogi Adityanath also highlighted that the state government has developed a large land bank to support industrial expansion. He said the defence and aerospace policy is offering incentives to investors to encourage participation in the corridor’s development.
