Deepak Chem Tech Commissions ₹300 Crore Specialty Chemicals Plant at Dahej

Deepak Chem Tech, a subsidiary of Deepak Nitrite, has commissioned a new chlorination and specialty chemicals manufacturing facility at Dahej, Gujarat, involving a reported capital investment of approximately ₹300 crore.

The new facility represents an important capacity addition for the Deepak Nitrite Group and strengthens its manufacturing presence at Dahej, one of India’s major chemical and petrochemical hubs. The plant is designed to support the production of chlorination-based products and specialty chemicals catering to a range of industrial applications.

The ₹300 crore investment forms part of the group’s broader strategy to expand its specialty chemicals portfolio, strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities and address growing customer demand. Commissioning of the facility also marks the transition of the project from the investment and construction phase into operations.

Dahej has emerged as a strategic location for chemical manufacturers due to its established industrial ecosystem, port connectivity and access to supporting infrastructure.

The new plant is expected to enhance Deepak Chem Tech’s production capabilities and provide additional opportunities for downstream value-added products.

The development also underlines continued capital investment in Gujarat’s chemicals sector, which remains a major destination for large-scale specialty chemical and petrochemical manufacturing projects in India.
