Coal India’s NCL Sets 139 MT Production Target for FY25.

Coal India subsidiary Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) is on track to achieve its production target of 139 million tonnes (MT) for the current fiscal year. As of February, the company had already produced 128.13 MT and remains confident of meeting its annual goal. Dispatches for the April-February period stood at 125.78 MT.
NCL, known for its highly mechanized mines and its critical role in India's energy security, has also launched a large-scale first aid training program for homemakers. This initiative extends health and safety awareness beyond the workplace and into employees' homes, fostering a culture of preparedness.
“Since its launch on January 26, the First Aid Training Program for Homemakers has trained around 1,500 homemakers in multiple sessions across all projects,” the company said.
As a key player in India's energy sector, NCL supplies about 88% of its coal output to power plants. The company contributes approximately 15% to the nation's total coal production, supporting around 10% of India's power generation.
