Bharat Forge Opens Landing Gear Machining Facility in Pune with Liebherr-Aerospace.

Bharat Forge Limited, based in Pune, recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art landing gear components machining facility at Mundhwa in Pune. The facility was developed in collaboration with Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, marking a major step in bolstering India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities.

With the commissioning of the new plant, Bharat Forge becomes one of the first companies in India—and among a select few globally—to operate OEM-approved machining capabilities for landing gear components at scale.

The facility is expected to enhance India’s role in global aerospace supply chains and strengthen the country’s capabilities in high-value aerospace manufacturing, positioning it as a competitive player in the international aerospace sector.
